Location
Gaia-Oasis Retreat is located in Tejakula, in the northern part of Bali, off the beaten track of mainstream tourism. The perfect location; nestled in a green sanctuary and offering the best of both worlds; stretching from a lush mountain top to its foot holds by the sea.
A ten minute shuttle bus ride gives you access to two locations, wake up to your yoga practice in the mountains and complete the day swimming in the sea.
Accommodation
Dotted throughout Abasan Mountain Retreat are private Balinese-style bungalows. All homes are located at a discreet distance from their neighbours and come with fully-equipped kitchens and open-air bathrooms. Each home is unique and situated in beautiful private gardens.
Dinning & Food
Look out into the Pacific Ocean and feel the fresh breeze as you tuck into our three daily buffets comprising healthy and deliciously balanced Indonesian and western-influenced dishes. Prepared by a Balinese chef and his team, meals are largely vegetarian with fresh ocean fish and produce from our organic gardens.
Mineral water, different teas, Balinese coffee and cocoa are available free of charge throughout the day. Around mid-afternoon, complimentary snacks ranging from delicious, light cakes to traditional Balinese sweets are also provided.

High Quality Spa
A high quality spa complex is situated at the retreat venue offering a wide range of nurturing experiences, from basic massages, to facials and beauty treatments with everything in between delivered with caring hands. Prices are amazingly low compared to western standards, so be prepared to be pampered.
Salt Water Swimming Pool
The salt water swimming pool is built on a mountain terrace, with uninterrupted views across the verdant orchards to where the distant ocean meets the sky.
Play... exercise overlooking the resplendent valley... or simply relax on the wide natural stone terrace. The pool is 17m long so large enough for doing laps and there is a stone terrace alongside that is suitable for bodywork and yoga.

Walking Trails
Gaia-Oasis Retreat is criss-crossed with walking trails that range from gentle strolls suitable for walking meditation to more strenuous full-day treks taking in breathtaking views from various vantage points throughout the property. Explore our ten acre retreat; hike along the ridge dropping down to the Yeh Lalang River, or journey through traditional villages, temples, orchards and jungle gorges.
Mountain Lotus YOGA Room
Feel the early morning sun rays on your skin and find stillness even as the local community and animals stir quickly to the cacophony of life. Located directly below the dining terrace, one side of the room is totally open, looking out on a lotus-filled rainwater collection pool and lush green surroundings. In this beautiful setting, you can relax, meditate deeply and reconnect with Creation.

Matt(ManTarA) and Marie (Kapiti Yoga) have facilitated retreats in New Zealand, Australia and Bali for many years. Their enthusiasm and passion for conscious living, facilitating expansive growth, and their down-to-earth approach promises a journey of learning, transformation, inspiration and Joy. Together they offer a wealth of experience and are teaming up to co-create a truly unforgettable experience.
